The social room, (in the basement) has a fresh coat of paint on the walls, and is ready for members to relax in. The evening hours of Mon., Tues., and Thurs., are available if anyone would like to spend a few hours there. Just contact an officer so they can open up the building. If a group wants to meet during the day it is available most of the time. Wwe have pool, skeet ball, checkers, chess, marbles, cribbage, or just relax. WE are having the Internet and tv hook-up available soon. The bathroom floor has been tiled and a toilet and sink installed.
Sept. 18 will be the installation of our new officers. Also the State Officers will be installing our Post. The recipients of Boys State and Girls State will be there to give us a brief talk on their experiences this past year.

UP COMING EVENTS
We are always looking for volunteers to help out from time to time. This would be good for those members who cannot commit for a whole year but are able to assist the post now and again.
The summerstate meeting is on July in Trumbull, CT this year. Five of the officers usually attend but anyone is welcome. The post pays for your registration and luncheon.
A member recently passed away and his family could not find his DD214. It should be registered with your town but the post is also keeping them on file for your convenience. IF you would like, you may send them to the post and they will be kept in our office.
